Why Support Us

Our mission is not just about unchaining dogs......

We Educate On Spay/Neuter

We educate the families that reach out to us on the importance of spay/neuter. Besides being on government assistance they must also have their pets fixed to become part of our program. We have only made one exception to this as her circumstances warranted that we put her physical well being first. We continue to educate the owner on the benefits of getting her spayed.

We Deliver Dog Food

Every month we deliver dog food to those owners who do not have cars and are part of a food program. We will also provide dog food to our owners who need occasional help.

We Provide Many Extras

When we build a kennel we also provide many extras to improve the quality of life for our dogs. Each dog receives a new collar with Pet ID Tag, Igloo Doghouse (if needed), food/water bowls, tennis ball, chew toy, etc..

We Provide Medical Care

We are thankful to work with a couple Animal Hospitals who helps us provide affordable medical care for the families and dogs in our program which need it most. We do NOT provide medical care for each dog in our program. We have treated several for Heartworms.

We Do Follow-up Visits

We check-in with our families who need us most every 5 - 7 weeks especially for our BTCKK dogs which live outside. This allows us to build on the relationships with our families as well as make sure the kennels are being kept clean and that the dogs are being taken care of.

We Help Our Families

If a family is struggling financially we will do our best to help them. We have provided groceries, assisted with clothing, provided school & craft supplies, paid a phone bill, helped with gas, provided air conditioners, assisted with yard care, etc. We want them to know that we don't just care about their dogs but them as well.

We Ask Our Owners to "Pay it Forward"

We ask that a family member help us build their kennel (if they are physically able) and then we ask them to "pay it forward" to help us build another families kennel. In the image Marcus (our 3rd kennel recipient) is showing David how to properly put on the brackets.
